Air-India Air India launches twice-weekly flight on the Ahmedabad-Dubai sector.

Air-India (A-I) has launched a twice-weekly flight on the Ahmedabad-Dubai sector. Mr. Sanjeev Talwar, new Regional Director, Middle-East and Africa said that the new operation is routed from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and on to Dubai two times a week.
Air-India has 105 flights a week from India to Gulf.

Air Sahara and Jet Airways start flights to Colombo

Air Sahara and Jet Airways have started flying Madras-Colombo as part of the open skies policy. The 2 Indian private domestic Airlines are also hopeful of flying to Nepal and Dhaka once the permissions are received. They also plan to link Delhi, Bombay and Bangalore to Sri Lanka.

Strategic alliance with Oberoi group gives Hilton International foothold in India

Hilton International has entered the Indian market for the first time through a strategic alliance with the owner of India’s Trident Hotels, EIH Limited.
The alliance has seen seven Trident hotels renamed Trident Hilton and the former Oberoi Towers in Mumbai change its name to the Hilton Towers.
